Returns

Items returned as 'not required' must be received by us within 14 days of the date of purchase, and will only be accepted if in new, unused condition, with original, clean packaging and within the manufacturer's guarantee. There is no restocking fee, but the purchaser is responsible for any and all shipping costs. We will not refund at all for any goods which have been used or soiled in any way, and return shipping back to the customer will be chargeable at the approprite rate. Items manufactured or sourced to a customer's specification, or otherwise marked as non-cancellable non-returnable (NCNR) cannot be returned for credit unless they are suspected to be faulty.

Items returned as faulty within the manufacturer's guarantee period must be returned to us for testing and evaluation. If found faulty, and if the product was used in accordance with the manufacturer's specification, the product will be replaced or refunded immediately, and any relevant reasonable shipping costs will be reimbursed to the purchaser. If the suspect product is tested and found not to be faulty, we will re-deliver the goods to the customer whereupon the customer bears all shipping costs. If the product was found faulty and was not used within the manufacturer's specification, we may or may not offer a discretionary goodwill discount on a replacement product.

All return shipping charges must initially be paid for by the customer but we may reimburse these costs as stated above as long as these costs are reasonable (i.e. equivalent to our carriage charge when the order was originally placed). Goods can be returned in person by prior arrangement. Returned items lost or damaged in transit must be claimed for by the sender.

Warranty

All products manufactured by ABELtronics include our 3-year standard warranty. Any products alleged as warranty failures should be returned to us for testing and evaluation in accordance with the above 'Returns' section.

For third party products, or those not manufactured by ABELtronics, warranty offered is that of the manufacturer, with a minimum statutory period of 12 months, and shall be limited to repair or replacement of the item as advised by the manufacturer. Any products alleged as warranty failures should be returned to us for testing and evaluation in accordance with the 'Returns' section.

Prior to return of any products, customers should contact us to discuss the problem, and if necessary obtain the required returns authorisation number, which must accompany the returned goods. No responsibility is accepted for consequential or liquidated damages in the event of product failure.

The liability of ABELtronics rests solely with the products, goods or services, as sold under these terms, under all circumstances. No responsibility will be accepted for any consequential loss or damages resulting from the use of, misuse of, failure to use, or inability to use, any of our products, goods or services. We will not be liable for any, loss, indirect, special, incidental or consequential damages of any nature including, without limitation, business interruption costs, removal and/or reinstallation costs, reprocurement costs, loss of profit or revenue, loss of data, promotional or manufacturing expenses, overhead, injury to reputation or loss of customers, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Title

Title of the goods shall pass from ABELtronics to the purchaser upon full payment of all monies due. Cheque payments will be required to clear and will usually do so within 5 working days of receipt of the cheque, but this may take longer. In the event of a Credit Card charge-back or Cheque refusal for whatever reason, and should payment not be resubmitted within a reasonable period of time, ABELtronics reserves the right to withold goods or to re-possess the associated goods by any means necessary within UK law.

Repairs

This section is for reference only. We no longer undertake repair of any equipment.

We charge £20+VAT to diagnose a fault and provide an estimate for the repair, and we waive this charge if you authorise us to go ahead with the repair. Any products brought in for repair where no fault is found will incur a charge of £20+VAT. Where it is not possible to provide an estimate, for example where an item has a serious fault and diagnosis can only be undertaken once certain parts are replaced, we will attempt to undertake the repair without providing an estimate. Bringing or sending in an item is considered an offer for us to undertake the repair. If we are unable to repair an item, we charge the standard £20+VAT diagnosis fee, regardless of our expenditure on the repair.

We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to charge a storage fee of £1.50+VAT per day for any repairs not paid for or uncollected for 3 calendar months after the date the customer was notified of the completion of the repair. Notification of completion is when the customer was advised by phone or email or any other means, or the date the repair invoice was issued, whichever is sooner. This storage fee is chargeable daily as soon as this 3 calendar month period has elapsed.

We reserve the right to take possession of and/or sell any devices lying unpaid for a minimum period of six calendar months from the date we notified the customer of the completion of the repair or diagnosis. Any items laying unclaimed in our possession for any reason after this time may be sold to compensate us for the cost of the repair. We will apply the storage charge mentioned in the previous paragraph. If the sale amount, including all sales fees, costs, commission, and storage charge is lower than the repair cost, we will invoice the customer for the difference. If the sale price, including all sales fees, costs, commission and storage charge is higher than the repair cost, we will reimburse the customer the difference minus a handling fee of 30% of the difference.

Return shipping and packaging is charged at cost, fully insured. We always advise customers to collect items in person.

We guarantee our parts and repair work to be free of defects for a period of 3 calendar months after completion of the repair. Should a fault develop within this time, the item must be returned to us for inspection otherwise this warranty will be void. We will inspect the item as quickly as possible, and undertake repair free of charge if the fault is as a result of our materials or workmanship. If the fault is not a result of our materials or workmanship, we will undertake a chargeable diagnosis and repair. This warranty is limited only to the repair item itself.

The customer is deemed to have accepted these terms if the customer authorises us to carry out the repair, or brings or sends in an item for repair.
