The DIM84DIN is a low voltage eight channel 12V or 24V PWM lamp and LED dimmer module controlled by a universal 0-10 volt control signal. 0V on the input means the lamp/LED is fully off, 10V is fully on, and everywhere in between. The module is suitable for interfacing to any device that outputs a 0-10V or 1-10V control signal including most PLCs, lighting controllers, Crestron™ or Lutron™ devices, and many others.

The module features eight independent high-side PWM output channels controlled by eight independent 0-10V control signals all sharing a common earth. The control inputs are designed to accept analogue 0-10V control signals from a PLC, lighting controller, Crestron™ controller, or similar. As the input signal is varied between 0 and 10V the connected lamp changes in brightness synchronously. An input of less than 0.2V turns the lamp fully off, and more than 9.8V turns the lamp fully on.

A 'Full-On' input is provided on the module for emergency lighting applications. When this input goes positive above 4V, all eight channels are immediately brought up to full brightness, regardless of the control input voltage. The channels revert to normal brightness when the Full-On input goes below 4V.

There are four '+Supply' power connections on the module, two pairs at opposite ends of the enclosure. These are internally tied together but they should all be connected together externally if the total load (sum of all the channels) on the module exceeds 10A. The 'GND' connection and the 'Full-On' Connection are duplicated to allow daisy-chaining of adjacent modules in a lighting control panel.

The control inputs are protected against over-voltage, although they should never exceed the module's supply voltage. The control voltage input and the DIM84DIN supply voltage are not electrically isolated from each other and share a common earth.

The module is finished in a 4 unit wide standard vented DIN-rail mount enclosure.
