Install Zone Alarm

IMPORTANT:

READ THROUGH THESE INSTRUCTIONS FULLY FIRST, THEN READ THROUGH AGAIN AS YOU PERFORM THE PROCEDURE. IT IS ADVISABLE TO PRINT THIS PAGE FOR REFERENCE.

CLOSE DOWN ALL OPEN PROGRAMS LEAVING ONLY THIS WEBPAGE ON THE SCREEN.
 

Here goes.....

Click HERE to download the ZoneAlarm Installer

Then select "run":

 

Select "run" again once the file has downloaded:

 

Select "next":

 

If you get a ZoneAlarm security warning that looks like this, click "Allow":

 

The ZoneAlarm program is now being downloaded. It will take a while to reach the next screen:

UNSELECT the box as circled above, then click NEXT.

 

Unselect the two boxes as circled above. Your name should appear in the "Name" box above. Mine says Lewis. If your name doesn't appear, type it in.

Then click NEXT

 

Ensure "Upgrade" is selected. If you are installing ZoneAlarm for the first time you might not see this box.
Then click NEXT

 

Click the box as circled, then click INSTALL.

It will appear as if nothing is happening, and it can take upto a minute for something to appear. Please be patient and stare at the computer screen.

The program will then be installed. You will see a progress bar filling up towards 100%.

When installation is complete, ZoneAlarm will ask you for more stuff:

 

Just click "Finish" - no need to fill anything in.

 

Click YES

 

VERY IMPORTANT! Make sure you click "No Thanks"

 

Ensure "Scan My Computer" is selected. Then click NEXT.

 

Then click FINISH.

This is important. Once you click OK at the next screen, your computer will be restarted.

Click OK.

Once the computer has restarted, the following screen will appear:

Click FINISH, then close ZoneAlarm:

 

The internet should now work, and ZoneAlarm is protecting your computer.
